About
With over 20 years as an Advanced Respiratory Specialist in the NHS and a Ph.D. focused on how breathwork helps somatic symptom disorders, Bal combines medical knowledge with new science on nervous system care. She works with women feeling burnt out, disconnected from their bodies, and struggling with fatigue, inflammation, gut problems, anxiety, or early signs of chronic illness, signs that the body is overwhelmed.
Using proven breathwork and nervous system techniques, Bal helps women reconnect with their body's natural healing power, moving from just surviving to feeling alive again. Together, they reset stress responses, strengthen the immune system, and balance hormones, digestion, and energy at a deep level.
Bal’s approach teaches that nervous system regulation isn’t about always being calm, but about building strength to fully experience life, respond mindfully, and find safety no matter what. From breakdown to breakthrough, this work rebuilds resilience, emotional connection, and the deep energy needed for true well-being.
My Story, how it all started…
I began my career as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2001 and went on to spend over two decades in the NHS, finishing at the height of my career as an Advanced Respiratory Specialist. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I worked on the front lines in ITU, surgical wards, and community settings, leading respiratory care for critically ill patients. That period of relentless pressure left me physically and emotionally depleted, yet it also became the turning point that reshaped my life’s work
I realised that while medicine can save lives in moments of crisis, true long-term health and vitality come from something deeper: how well our nervous system, body, and mind work together. This insight led me to retrain in Root Cause Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine, and today I am completing a Ph.D focused on the effects of breathwork on somatic symptom disorders, a field at the cutting edge of mind-body health.
As I deepened my study of Lifestyle Medicine, I began applying these principles to my own body. After more than 20 years on the highest dose of levothyroxine for hypothyroidism, I started exploring the connection between chronic stress, stored trauma, and metabolic dysfunction. By releasing old beliefs, emotional patterns, and unprocessed stress, and by integrating nervous system regulation, movement, and nourishment, I gradually restored balance. Today, I take no medication, and my thyroid function has returned to normal, healthy ranges
This lived experience has shaped everything I teach. Having witnessed the profound effects of this work on myself, my clients, and my own family, I now help professional women move from breakdown and burnout to thriving vitality, restoring immune function, emotional balance, and deep connection through nervous system regulation and evidence-based breathwork
If something in this speaks to you, I invite you to reach out. This work has transformed my own health and relationships and it may just be the next step for yours.
