About
With over 20 years as an Advanced Respiratory Specialist in the NHS and a Ph.D in progress on the effects of breathwork on somatic symptom disorders, Bal brings a rare blend of medical expertise and cutting-edge science to the world of nervous system regulation
Bal now work with women who find themselves in the breakdown and burnout stages of the body, with symptoms of fatigue that no amount of sleep fixes, inflammation, gut issues, anxiety, or early signs of chronic disease. These aren’t random symptoms; they’re the body’s way of saying enough.
Through evidence-based breathwork and somatic nervous system regulation, Bal helps women reconnect to their body’s natural healing intelligence, moving from survival mode back into vitality. Together, we reset the stress response, bring the immune system back online, and restore balance to hormones, digestion, and energy production at a cellular level.
What makes Bal's approach different is that she shows you how nervous system regulation is not about being calm all the time, but about building capacity, the ability to experience life fully, respond instead of react, and return to safety no matter what’s happening around you.
From breakdown to breakthrough, this work restores resilience, emotional connection, and the deep vitality that lets every part of you thrive again.
My Story, how it all started…
I began my career as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2001 and went on to spend over two decades in the NHS, finishing at the height of my career as an Advanced Respiratory Specialist. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I worked on the front lines in ITU, surgical wards, and community settings, leading respiratory care for critically ill patients. That period of relentless pressure left me physically and emotionally depleted, yet it also became the turning point that reshaped my life’s work
I realised that while medicine can save lives in moments of crisis, true long-term health and vitality come from something deeper: how well our nervous system, body, and mind work together. This insight led me to retrain in Root Cause Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine, and today I am completing a Ph.D focused on the effects of breathwork on somatic symptom disorders, a field at the cutting edge of mind-body health.
As I deepened my study of Lifestyle Medicine, I began applying these principles to my own body. After more than 20 years on the highest dose of levothyroxine for hypothyroidism, I started exploring the connection between chronic stress, stored trauma, and metabolic dysfunction. By releasing old beliefs, emotional patterns, and unprocessed stress, and by integrating nervous system regulation, movement, and nourishment, I gradually restored balance. Today, I take no medication, and my thyroid function has returned to normal, healthy ranges
This lived experience has shaped everything I teach. Having witnessed the profound effects of this work on myself, my clients, and my own family, I now help professional women move from breakdown and burnout to thriving vitality, restoring immune function, emotional balance, and deep connection through nervous system regulation and evidence-based breathwork
If something in this speaks to you, I invite you to reach out. This work has transformed my own health and relationships and it may just be the next step for yours.
